Here Comes the Weekend!

Day 222 The Schrock Home, Omak
What a beautiful day! My good friend, LeeAnn, married her beloved Dale today at their home on top of the Suicide Hill. LeeAnn designed the decorations, the ceremony and the party. It was perfect!

Day 224 - Office Depot, Downtown Seattle
Look who we ran into in Seattle! Lyndsi loves the band, One Direction! Office Depot had this great poster for her to stand by. Too bad it wasn't the real thing!

Day 225 - Home
We got a new couch! You can't see it but it's there! Dylan tried to sleep on it tonight but it was a bit too warm.

Day 226 - Home
You can see Dylan's floor! We worked hard to get it looking this good......I wonder how long it will last?

Day 227 - Smallwood's Smokehouse BBQ, Okanogan, WA
Steve and I finally got to go out for our anniversary....2 weeks later! We went for BBQ at the local fruitstand. Yum!

Hot Summer Nights

It's hot! 97 degrees hot! Guess I'll post some pictures.

Day 212 - Home
This was one of my summer projects. Nothing like leaving it until last minute! I wanted to clean out the hall closet. I bought self-stick laminate tile and tiled my hall closet! The baskets slide so much easier now!

Day 213 - Home
Marilou Baker gave us the great big box of apricots! We ate most of them but some got bad before we could get to them. The chickens loved those!

Day 214 Home
Good gracious, look what I found! We have babies! I really thought these eggs were duds but I was wrong! We now have 3 cute little fluffy chicks. I hope none are roosters!

Day 215 - Jon and Dayla Culp's Home
Happy birthday, Dayla! We stopped by on our anniversary to wish Dayla a happy birthday.

Day 216 - Home
We bought Erik Baker's trampoline! The kids have been wanting a trampoline for so long! We finally got one.

Day 217 - The Andrews' Home
We're walking pigs tonigh! Dylan is learning how to control his pig to be ready for fair. First lesson, tonight!

Day 218 - Home
Steve found a cute boa to wear around the house....

Day 219 - Downtown Omak, WA
The Girl Scouts had the opportunity to walk in the Kids' Parade for Stampede. Lyndsi went, along with a couple of other kids.

Day 220 - Omak Stampede Grounds
We're watching the rodeo tonight!

Day 221 - Omak Stampede Arena
Steve and I, along with Julia and Dennis, and Amy and Jeff, served beer in the Beer Garden this year. This was my view as the racers were coming down the hill!

What is it about Sunday Nights?

For some reason, Sundays make me want to blog!

Day 202 - On the Port Townsend to Coupeville Ferry
We're on our way home from another fun camping trip! The weather was gorgeous and I loved this calm scene.

Day 203 - Cottonwood Kennels, Riverside WA
Poor Lucy had to stay behind when we went camping this year. That's OK - she gets to spend time with Uncle Earl and wife Diane at the kennels. The lot isn't much to look at (actually, there's lots to look at!!!) but the dogs are taken care of and loved. Lucy doesn't particularly enjoy being away from us but I think she knows she's OK at the kennel.

Day 204 - Home
Mmmm....Tigger loves outdated yogurt! Check out his messy face!

Day 205 - Home
Lucy's been digging! You can tell by the ring of dirt around her nose! I wish I could capture Lucy's sneaky hiding of her toys. She tries to bury everything we give her. If she knows we see her, she'll unbury her treasure and go somewhere else with it!

Day 206 - Okanogan Gun Club and Shooting Range
Dylan spent the evenings this week at a Hunter's Safety Course. Tonight was his field test. He had to show how to safely carry and hand-off a gun, while naming the animals pictured on these cardboard cutouts.

Day 207 - Home
Dylan is leaving for Camp Parsons on the Hood Canal tomorrow morning. He'll be gone for a whole week! Right now, I don't think he's very happy about his excursion :( I know he'll have fun once he's there.

Day 208 - Omak Presbyterian Church, Omak WA
Laura Shacklett invited Lyndsi and I to her wedding shower. She asked Lyndsi to make the bow bouquet. Isn't it pretty! Thank you, Laura!

Day 209 - Methow River, Twisp WA
We met Kiki, Ken, and Sammie Vedders for brunch at the Twisp River Pub this morning. We then took a walk down by the river. Such a clean and pretty river! And so refreshing. It's one of my favorite rivers.

Day 210 - Home
I planted these cute little succulents in an antique cupcake tin that belonged to my grandma. I bought the tiny plants in Sequim. They fit perfectly and look awesome in the cupcake cups!

Day 211 - Okanogan Swimming Pool
Tonight was the final party for Okanogan's Swim Team. The kids received final awards and then got to swim for fun! Lyndsi had a great season with the Bullfrogs and is already looking forward to next year.
