School Started Today....and I'm Still Catching Up!

Day 197 Home
We have a water lily! We have a few pads in our pond and every year we get one or two blooms. I love them! I would love to have more so the 1 or 2 we get are pretty special.

Day 198 Mt. Vernon, WA
We were on our way to Sequim Bay State Park and stopped in Mt. Vernon for the night. The kids swam in the pool, despite the chilly temps!

Day 199 Edmonds - Kingston Ferry
Need I say more? I love this picture!

Day 200 Sequim Bay State Park
We camped at this state park for the weekend with lots of friends - Cheesemans, Thompsons, Hallenius', Greens, Welge-Budd - Someone brought crabpots to put out off the dock. Dylan and Lyndsi enjoyed helping Max pull them in to investigate the contents.

Day 201 - Dungeness Spit
Steve, Lyndsi and I joined the Thompson Family on a walk on the Dungeness Spit. We didn't get far because we ran out of time but the picture taking was fantastic!

Back To School Tomorrow....and still catching up

Day 187 Okanogan Farmer's Market
We love the Farmer's Market! Every Saturday from May through October, Okanogan's Farmer's Market is held in Legion Park. I love the fruits and vegies and the great coffee, and the kids love the honey sticks, baked goods and fry bread. Steve loves everything I love AND everything the kids love! On this Saturday, a clown from the Methow was performing. He asked Steve to assist him. Steve's job was to put out any fires the clown might start! Scary job considering the clown breathed and juggled fire!

Day 188 Ag Tech Property
Oh Fred! You are such a goofy pig! Today I enjoyed watching you roll around in the mud!

Day 189 Slidewaters Water Park in Chelan, WA
We joined the Vedders Family and most of the Cheeseman Family in Chelan for a day of sliding down water slides and lounging on the lazy river. I took the Purple Haze head on and slid that slide first!

Day 190 Home
Daisy looks a lot like her daddy! I bought her a "saddle" to protect her poor back from Tigger's amorous grasp. He hangs on so hard that it ripped a hole in her skin. The gash was pretty wide but healed well!

Day 191 Nana and Papa's House
We are going to spend a few days at Sacheen Lake with Nana and Papa, Erin and Ali, and Robyn and Kim. We drove to Spokane tonight so we can get an early start to the lake in the morning. These 2 are my bedmates tonight!

Day 192 Priest Lake, ID
Before heading to Sacheen, we took a side trip to Priest Lake to cruise the lake in Papa's boat. It was a bit windy early on but turned into a beautiful sunny day. Lucy preferred the safety of the bed below deck when taking on the choppy water!

Day 193 Sacheen Lake
Steve and Lucy and I went on a peaceful canoe ride through the lily pads.

Day 194 Sacheen Lake, Nana and Papa's Property
Forrest still loves the water! She can hardly walk but she loves to cool off in the water.

Day 195 Sacheen Lake, Nana and Papa's Property
Dylan was eager to catch the catfish that had been alluding him all weekend! He finally gave up the pole and tried his hand at noodling. Still nothing but it was worth the effort!

Day 196 Home
Sneaky Rosey! I noticed just before we left for the weekend that I hadn't seen Rose in a couple of days. Today I found her....sitting on 13 eggs. She's broody again! I took all but 4 eggs so we'll see what happens.

I Will Get Them Posted!

Day 181 Winthrop, WA
Bribed the kids for this pose! No ice cream unless you sit on the sawhorse saddles! Love these "chairs" outside Sheri's Sweet Shop in Winthrop. Both kids used to love to sit on them. Now they seem a bit embarrassed by it....anyway, we were in Winthrop to look at a boat but ended up taking a nice drive. No boat, just ice cream!

Day 182 ???
I honestly don't know what this picture is supposed to represent! I remember telling Steve that this was the only picture I got of our fun excursion! Whatever that fun excursion might have been.....

Day 183 Home
Lyndsi always looks so comfy when I come to kick her out of my bed! I'm going to miss these nights....

Day 184 Marination Ma Kai, Seattle, WA
We joined the O'Connor Family in Seattle for a Seattle Sounders game and had dinner at Marination Ma Kai on Alki Beach before taking the water taxi to the game. Such a fun evening! Despite the seagull who tried to ruin the night by pooing in our shave ice!

Day 185 Home
We drove home from Seattle on the 4th of July so our fireworks celebration was pretty simple. We stopped in Wenatchee and bought a few sparklers and other crackly fire things and lit them off when we got home. The Wilsons and their friends, and Lisa and Brett Baum came by for a bit to share the holiday with us.

Day 186 Home
Hmmmm.....I think Lucy might be bored.....

Summer's Winding Down.....

I better get busy uploading pictures! I thought I'd get all caught up with my posting this summer. It was a goal. I have one more day......
Day 175 Home
This is what Lucy does to a peanut butter jar. She's one smart dog! In case you can't see it, she chewed off the bottom to get to the remaining peanut butter.

Day 176 Home
Dylan has been cleaning out his room this month. He came across these 2 little treasures. For a long time this was his favorite book. We'd read it to him several times a day and he'd read it to himself several times a day. His Daisy would travel with us and he'd carry it everywhere. No! I will not let him get rid of these treasures!

Day 177 Rockwall Cellars Winery in Omak, WA
Wine Down Wednesday! Love this place! I met these beautiful women for a glass of wine and some companionship. Paulet and Vicki are on the left and I don't know them well, so it was nice to chat with them and get to know them better. LeeAnn, Theresa, and Julia are on the right. They are good friends and it was nice to catch up.

Day 178 Omak Swimming Pool
Nana and Papa drove in to watch Lyndsi swim tonight. We cheered her on and had a picnic dinner. I'm pretty sure Dylan is not picking his nose in the background....but you never know....

Day 179 Home
Lyndsi was helping Steve and I get ready for a "white trash" themed birthday party. Do you think we're scarring our children? And yes, Steve is wearing an underwear tank top!

Day 180 Brewster Flats
Common site and sound these days! Orchardists hire helicopter pilots to buzz their cherry trees on rainy days. The rain can split the ripe cherries and the helicopters hover and dry off the fruit. We watched this one on our drive back from the Brewster swim meet.
